Appealing a Review

We understand that Reviews Matter. This articles tells you how to appeal a negative review, your guide to disputing unfair guest feedback and providing an avenue for you to provide your perspective.

When appealing a review, there are multiple reasons that can be considered to have a review removed. Some common examples are as follows:

  • The review contains false or misleading information.
  • The review includes offensive or inappropriate language. (Discriminatory, offensive language)
  • The review is related to external issues (e.g., weather, city construction) outside of my control.
  • The guest threatened a negative review in exchange for refunds/benefits.
  • The review is gibberish (makes no sense, random words or thoughts)
  • The review was left in retaliation for a policy or rule being enforced.
  • The review doesn’t include info related to the stay or experience, or the guest never arrived.
  • The review contains sensitive information such as the listing's address, or location of specific items within the property.

Before submitting your appeal, we'd like to share the review policies from different booking platforms, this will help determine if a review can be removed or appealed.
